One More Chapter

It’s really hard to know when a work is done, either a post, chapter, or full fledged novel. I was to the finish line on a children’s story. And I was about ready to publish. Then, I went on a jog, and this idea hit me. I felt the scene fit, epic in a way; however, I wasn’t sure if I should add it or not. After you edit multiple times, have other folks edit multiple times, etc., adding anything can create dependencies. A chapter at the end can make you go back to the beginning. Sigh. How do you know when a work is done?

I suppose when that extra effort really hurts.

Notes:

  • I did go back and finish that chapter.
  • The title picture is a draft of an unfinished work. Massive in scale. Still a ways from the finish.
