I was cleaning today and discovered a box of books in the dark corner of the basement. After shuffling through a half dozen, I found a book with Mark Twain quotes.
Here were a few of my favorites:
“It’s not the size of the dog in the fight, it’s the size of the fight in the dog.”
“I have never let my schooling interfere with my education.“
“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do than by the ones you did do.”
“Continuous improvement is better than delayed perfection.”
“Don’t wait. The time will never be just right.”
And here was the best:
“Whenever you find yourself on the side of the majority, it is time to pause and reflect.”
Notes:
- I feel I should swap this picture out for a Riverboat … one day. For now, a picture of Twain’s more popular books.
- He was a well-traveled man.
